Evelyn (Harrison) Christian

Evelyn Christian, 77 of Gilbert, WV departed this life Friday, June 20, 2025, from Logan Regional Medical Center.  Born April 20, 1948, in Logan County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Merlie (Walls) Harrison.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Donald Christian; brother: Norwood Harrison; 2 infant siblings; mother and father-in-law: Ella and Oley Christian.

Evelyn enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, and watching Lifetime Movies, but her greatest love was spending time with her family and friends.  She was of the Baptist Faith.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her daughters: Joni (Donald) Belcher of Gilbert, WV, Donetta Nagle of Austin, TX; grandchildren: Ashley (Jon) Gibson of Mohawk, WV, and Anna Nagle of Austin, TX; great grandchildren: Olivia Gibson and Ryder Gibson; sisters: Faye Hooper of Waldorf, MD, Ellen Dalton and Jean (Barry) Bonovitch all of Rocky Mount, VA; brother: Larkin (Wilma) Harrison of Gilbert, WV; special friends: Diana Dean, Shirley Shrewsbury, Karen Kirk, and Barbara Mounts.  She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, June 25, 2025, in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home from 12:00 till 2:00pm where funeral services will commence at 2:00pm with Rev. Lowell Smith and Rev. Garfield Hatfield officiating.  Burial will follow in the Christian Cemetery at the Browning Fork section of Gilbert, WV.

Evelyn will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
