Faye Sammons Testerman, 81 of Gilbert, departed this life to meet her loved ones waiting in Heaven on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from Moses Cone Hospital.
Faye was born on January 27, 1938 in Wayne County, WV to the late Pearly & Maggie (Gillem) Sammons.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son: Charles Matthew Testerman; brothers: Howard, Leonard, Charles, Benny, Sonny, Sherman Roy Sammons and Buddy Johnson; sisters: Lucille Sammons Steele, Elizabeth Sammons Thompson, Geneva Sammons Cline; great grandchild: Autumn Sheppard.
Faye was a devoted member of the Rosa Old Regular Baptist Church she loved visiting churches and living her life for the Lord. She also enjoyed crocheting, singing, and she was an avid fan of the Gilbert Lions.
Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her passing include her loving husband: Charles Testerman; three daughters: Myra (Bobby) Testerman Sheppard, Martha Renee (Dwayne) Testerman Runyon and Cynthia Carol (Paul) Testerman Nelson; grandchildren: Malina Sheppard Hubbard, Robert Arym Sheppard, Angel Hobbs Runyon, Corinne Hobbs Saylor, Aimee Runyon, Tara D. Beckett, Philip E. May, Christopher M. May; great grandchildren: Natalie Cantrell, Palin Hubbard, Zoe Rain Sheppard, Winter Rose Sheppard, Jeffery Dawson Runyon, Daniel Charles Runyon, Braden Saylor, Braxton Runyon, Brittani Justice Christian, Kobi May, Dillon May, Isaiah May; great-great grandchildren: Brady Christian and Lincoln Christian; two sisters: Verna Sammons McKean and Carol Sammons May; many nieces and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Rosa Old Regular Baptist Church at Baisden from 6-9 pm with a special service at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will commence at the Church on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 1:00 pm with the Elder Ivan Blankenship and Elder Hobert Hamilton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hatfield Cemetery at Hampden, WV.
Faye will be carried to her final resting place by: Dillon May, Robert Sheppard, Philip May, Chris Thornton, Isaiah May, Daniel Runyon and Jeffery Dawson Runyon.
Her beautiful smile and tender heart will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
