Gary Wilson Carter

Gary Wilson Carter, 71 of Gilbert, WV, departed this life on Sunday, January 8, 2023.

Born on June 29, 1951, he was the son of the late Ted and Maudie (Patrick) Carter.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers: Willard and Lannie Carter and sister: Ernestine New.

Gary was a such a kindhearted person. He brought complete joy to the lives of everyone who knew him. He loved being around family and friends and spending time outdoors. His vibrant personality and giving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brothers: Harold Carter of Hillsboro, OH, Earl Carter of High Point, NC, Carlos Carter of Trinity, NC, and Glen Carter of Hillsboro, OH; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Friends may gather with the family on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 6:00-9:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel where funeral services will commence on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Denny May and Rev. Danny Ward officiating. Burial will follow at the Beech Fork Cemetery at Wharncliffe, WV.

Gary will be carried to his final resting place by his nephews.

To know Gary was to love him. His gentle heart and infectious smile will be greatly missed.
