Gaston A. Hatfield

Gaston A. Hatfield, 78 of the Long Branch section of Simon, WV went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 6, 2023 from Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born on March 14, 1945 at Simon, he was the son of the late Albert and Louisa (Morgan) Hatfield.

In addition to his parents, Gaston is also preceded in death by his brothers: Hugh, Virgil, Milt, and Raston “Clarence” Hatfield; his two sisters: Sheryl Carver and Atheleen Cline.

Gaston enjoyed being outside in his garden, taking care of his land, hunting, fishing, and riding his four-wheelers.  He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of the U.M.W.A.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his sons: Gaston (Vanessa) Hatfield, Joshua (Desirae) Hatfield; daughters: Marie (Lester) Francis and Misty (Jay) Green; 11 grandchildren: Jeramy (Samantha) Colegrove, Chelsey (Matt) Halsey, Summer, Brianna, Gaston Jr. Hatfield, Delenda Kennedy, Joshua and Taylor Hatfield, Clara, TJ, and Jayda Green; 5 great grandchildren: Jeramy, Brylee, and Layla Colegrove, Mila and Ryker Halsey; sister: Ophelia (Clarence) Harper.  He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other dear relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, July 9, 2023 at the Hatfield Cemetery, Josh Fork, Simon, WV.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
