Geraldine (Lester) Ellis

Geraldine (Lester) Ellis, 89 of Baisden, WV departed this life Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from her residence.

Born January 25, 1936, at Baisden, WV, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Ada (Toler) Lester.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 + years: Earl Ellis; 2 infant sisters: Glenda and Linda Lester; brothers: Buford, Woody, and George Lester; sisters: Betty Hatfield and Tressie Kennedy.

Geraldine enjoyed shopping and cooking, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her children: Dean (Silinda) Ellis of Sara Ann, WV, Patricia Keene and Stoney Ellis, both of Lexington, NC, Billy, Terry, and Robert Ellis, all of Baisden, WV, Rebecca (Allan) Morgan of Hanover, WV; sisters: Pansy Keene and Valerie Walls; brothers: Willie and Roger Lester.   She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.

A private service was held Monday, May 19, 2025, at 2:00pm in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Joe Bradford officiating.   Burial followed in the Ellis Family Cemetery at Baisden, WV.

Geraldine was carried to her resting place by her family and friends.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
