Glenetta L. Owens

Glenetta L. Owens, 57 of Lorado, WV departed this life Sunday, February 16, 2020 from Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Born March 13, 1962 she was the loving daughter of Greta (Cline) Owens and the late Robert Owens.

In addition to her father, she is also preceded in death by her step-grandfather: Leonard Elkins; her grandmother: Hazel Cline Elkins; grandparents: Will and Blanche Morgan.

Glenetta was a loving and caring daughter, sister, aunt and friend.  She loved spending time with her family and friends especially her “fur babies”.   She attended the Verner Community Church and she loved her church family.

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her mother: Greta Owens of Gilbert; sister: Robin (Jason) Owens of Lorado; brother: William David (Dana) Owens of Baisden; niece: Taylor Owens of Baisden; nephews: Jerome Owens of Charleston and Daniel Owens of Kenova; special friends: Tammie Browning, Sandy Mutters Mounts and Sherry Cline Weir; special aunts: Brenda Hutzler and Glenda "Butch" Cline.  She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel where funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm with Rev. Walter Grimmett officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Pecks Mill, Logan, WV.

Glenetta will be carried to her final resting place by pallbearers: Jason Dickenson, Nathan McComis, Marty Fortner, Bobby Rollyson, Raymond Hutzler and Mathew Hutzler.  Honorary pallbearers are: Jerry Raymond Cline, Chuck Hutzler, Charles “Snookie” Cline, Kevin Cline and Brandon Cline.

Her loving heart and gentle smile will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
