Glesnor "Gles" Marie (Evans) Nagle

Glesnor “Gles” Marie Nagle was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She departed this world on July 30, 2022 at age 81.

She was born to Tilda and Edwin Evans on September 16, 1940.

After graduating from Gilbert High School in 1958, Gles successfully chased her dreams of building a life of her own growing a beautiful and loving family. She soon was married and ultimately raised five boys who all loved and adored her throughout her life.

Gles was happiest in her home taking care of her family. She loved to cook, and routinely hosted family get togethers and cooked amazing feasts for those in her life she loved the most. She was kind, loving, and generous to all those around her and had an amazing sense of humor. It was obvious to anyone who knew her that there was something different about her because she had a creative and artistic streak that was truly special of her time, and she was a natural community organizer.

She ran a game room for a number of years which gave the youth of Browning Fork a playground and she was also locally famous for organizing a number of home-grown carnivals and even a Browning Fork Bicentennial Parade in 1976! She enjoyed bringing happiness to those around her and worked hard to create a loving and caring environment for all who knew her.

She will be sorely missed by many. Gles was preceded in death by her husband, John Nagle; her mother Tilda Hatfield; her stepfather Lewis Hatfield; her brother Edwin (Wanda) Evans; and her sons Darian (Pam) Nagle and John Nagle.

She is survived by her sister Sandra (Phil) Gilliland; her sons Dale (Rose) Harrison, Dusty (Carol) Nagle, and James (Marlena) Nagle; her daughter-in-law Soohyun Nagle; her grandchildren:  Justin Nagle, Alex Nagle, Austin Nagle, and Anastasia Nagle; and a host of extended family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Friday, August 5, 2022 from 1:00 till 2:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Rev. Denny May officiating.  Burial will follow at the Carter Cemetery, Browning Fork section of Gilbert, WV.

Gles will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.

She may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
