Greta Jean England

Greta Jean England, 85 of Harmony NC, departed this life on November 19, 2022, from Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC.

Born on March 5, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Drewey and Liddie (Robinette) Roberts.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by daughter: Cheryl England; son: Jeff England; grandson: Ethan England; great-grandson: Jonah Hatfield; sister: Rosalie Jennings; and brothers: Herman and Don Roberts.

Greta married the love of her life, Charles, on January 4, 1958. She took pride in being a devoted wife to him ever since that day.  They enjoyed taking trips in their camper, especially their trips to Florida. Greta loved Charles immensely and loved sharing the life they made together with him. She enjoyed being with her family and absolutely loved visiting her grandchildren. Seeing them happy brought such joy to her life.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her loving husband of almost 65 years: Charles England; son: Mike (Tammy) England; grandchildren: Chris (Melissa) England, Jessica (Kenny) Hatfield, Christin England, and Kasie (Tyler) Couch; great-grandchildren: Taylor England, Amanda England, Chase England, Darcie Hatfield, Elliott Hatfield, Anson Hatfield, Kyler Johnson, Kasen England, and Ivy Couch- due early 2023; sister: Josephine Snow; very special sister-in-law: Betty England; and special friends: Jimmy and Nancy Tiller.

Immediate family may arrive on Saturday, November 26, 2022, from 10:00-11:00am at Little Cub Memorial Baptist Church. Friends may gather with the family at 11:00am and funeral services will begin at 12:00pm with Rev. Jackie Lester and Rev. Ronnie Lester officiating. Burial will follow at the North Spring Community Cemetery.

Greta will be carried to her final resting place by family and friends.

She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
