Harry Ferrell, 77 of Wharncliffe, gained his heavenly wings on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, WV.
Born October 6, 1940 at Glen Alum, WV he was the son of the late Elliott & Mary (Johnson) Ferrell.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his oldest son: David Franklin Ferrell; his first wife: Romania Miller Ferrell; three brothers: Charles, Sydney and Randy Ferrell; infant sister: Ruby Ferrell.
Harry was a faithful member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Justice. He loved attending church and loved his church family. Harry served his country in the US Army. His passion was old Classic Cars, he was an avid collector. Harry was a member of the UMWA and was a diesel mechanic for many years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Harry and to mourn his passing include his loving wife; Anna Gandarilla Ferrell of Wharncliffe; his son: Jamie Ferrell of Wharncliffe; his three daughters: Regina (Gerald) Cline of Wharncliffe, Andrea (Steve) Williamson of Belfry; Rhonda (George) Preece of Pigeon Forge, TN; three grandchildren: Melissa (Brandon) Cline of Hanover, Stacy (Zack) Moon of Belfry and Joshua Stump of Georgetown, KY; two great grandchildren: Braxton Cline and MaKinsey Cline of Hanover; two brothers: Dean (Clara) Ferrell of Lancaster, OH, Ronnie (Melody) Ferrell of Obetz, OH; two sisters: Lois Blankenship of Columbus, OH and Dorothy Staten of Columbus, OH; his church family; many nieces and nephews and a host of other dear family and friends.
Friends may gather with the family on Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 6-9 pm at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Justice. Funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the church with the Rev. Jim Nagy and Brother Timer May officiating.
Burial will follow at the Glen Alum Cemetery at Glen Alum, WV.
Harry will be carried to his final resting place by Brandon Cline, Zack Moon and other family and friends.
His wonderful smile and tender heart will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
