Irvan Eugene Jackson, 78 of Wharncliffe, WV departed this life Saturday, January 11, 2025, from Pikeville Medical Center.
Born November 25, 1946, at Wharncliffe, WV he was the son of Ruth (Patrick) Cline and the late Helms Jackson.
In addition to his father, he is also preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, who raised him: Martha Patrick; sisters: Linda Mounts and Francine Jackson; special sister: Faye Browning; cousin: Eugene Fuller, who was like a father to him.
Irvan loved going to church, playing music with his friends, spending quality time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, also his time with the Pentecostal Three Gospel Group. He was a member of Faith Church of God.
Those left to love and cherish his memory and to mourn his loss are his wife Dora (Cline) Jackson of the home; sons: Kelly Jackson, Brian (Crystal) Jackson, and Jedidiah Jackson; stepson: Herbie Ellis; stepdaughter: Alicia (Lonnie) Cline, Jr; grandchildren: Christian and Wesley Jackson; several great grandchildren; several half brothers and sisters; special friends and caretakers: Rev. Danny and Charlotte Ward, and Bennie Musick; his German shepherd “Boots”. He also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 12:00 till 1:00 pm in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home where funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm with Pastor Danny Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Fork Cemetery at Wharncliffe, WV.
Irvan will be carried to his resting place by his family and friends.
He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
