James R. Harless

James R. Harless, 63 of Bruno, WV departed this life Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from his residence.  Born March 15, 1961, at Man, WV he was the son of the late James “Jimmy” R. and Loretta Jean (Musser) Harless.

James enjoyed riding his favorite motorcycle, a Harley “Fat Boy”, hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his grandchildren, his family and friends. He was a coal miner and of the Baptist Faith.

Those left to love and cherish his memory and to mourn his loss are his wife of 32 years: Tammathy “Tammy” (Preece) Harless; sons: Danny Toler, Jr., Randy (Kayla) Toler; daughter: Heather (Shawn) Walls; grandchildren: Lexi, Parker, Randy (RJ) Jr., and Hayden, all of Bruno, WV; sister: Deborah Harless of Huntington, WV; brothers-in-law: Claude (Sharon) Preece of Kentucky, Kenneth (Jennifer) Preece of Charleston, WV; sister-in-law: Dawnya (Marty) Combs, Ohio; aunt: Betty Musser of Huntington, WV; special friends: Lin and Les Cochran, Rupert and Sandy Smith, Howie Harvey, Kirk Browning, Brandy Browning, and Jeff George.  He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Sunday, August 4, 2024, from 12:00 till 2:00 pm in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Rev. Randy Toler officiating.

In honoring his wishes, James will be cremated following services.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Mounts Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
