James Edward “Hulio” Nickles, 58 of Justice, WV, departed this life Saturday, April 19, 2025, from his residence.
Born March 30, 1967, in Bristol, TN he was the son of Marcella (Salmons) Mitchell and the late James Bennett Nickles.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his daughter: Angel Nicole Nickles; grandmother: Ocie Blankenship; father and mother-in-law: Charles and Pat Vance.
Hulio was a truck driver, who enjoyed his job, older cars, and spending time with his family and friends, but his greatest love was being around his grandchildren and spending quality time with them. He was of the Christian Faith.
Those left to love and cherish his memory are his wife of 30 + years: Regina (Vance) Nickles; his son: Hunter Nickles; grandchildren: Brynlee and Mason Nickles and Daxton Toler, all of Justice, WV; his mother: Marcella Mitchell; sister: Danna Smith, both of Horsepen, WV; brothers: Kenny (Heather) Mitchell of Gilbert, WV and Billy (Phoebe) Mounts of Taylorville, WV; brother and sister-in-law: Tommy (Sherry) Vance of Ikes Fork, WV. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives, friends, and his trucking family.
Friends may gather with the family on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 6-9 pm in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home, Gilbert, WV. Funeral services will commence there in the chapel on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mark Townsend officiating. Burial will follow in the Davis Cemetery at Justice, WV.
Hulio will be carried to his resting place by pallbearers: Kenny and Dakota Mitchell, Marty Fortner, Blake and Tyler Ferrell, Jarrett Simpson. Honorary pallbearers will be Reuben Mitchell, Tommy Vance, Jody Shannon, Jared “Petey” Hatfield, Mike Tolley, Yogi Hess, Chet Cline, Dewayne McCoy.
He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
