James Steve Hatfield

James Steve Hatfield, 77 of Coal Mountain, WV departed this life Monday, January 13, 2025. 

Born August 18, 1947, in Coal Mountain, WV, he was the son of the late Robert and Florence (Poe) Hatfield.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brothers: Rodney and Edward Hatfield.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his wife Polly (Brown) Hatfield of the home; his brothers: William “Buddy” (Patricia) Hatfield of Tyler, AL, Glenn (Linda) Hatfield of Simon, WV, Ricky and Frankie Hatfield, both of Coal Mtn, WV and Richard Hatfield of Knoxville, TN.  He also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Friday, January 17, 2025, from 12:00 till 1:00 pm in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home where funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in the Coal Mountain Community Cemetery at Coal Mtn, WV.

James will be carried to his resting place by his family and friends.

He may be gone from our sight,  but never from our hearts.
