Jamie "Bigfoot" Blankenship

Jamie Blankenship, 51 of Baisden, departed this life on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born on December 22, 1970 at Man, WV he was the son of the late Jimmy and Christine (Justice) Blankenship.

In addition to his parents he is also preceded by his brother: Stoney Ray Blankenship; and his grandparents: Lynn and Harriet Blankenship

Jamie, or “Bigfoot” as everyone knew him by, loved to dig ginseng and hunt when he was able to do so.  He was of the Church of God Faith.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his daughter: Courtney Blankenship; son: Isaiah (Keeley) Blankenship; grandson: Brayden Willis Blankenship, all of Charleston; sister: Angela Blankenship of Gilbert Creek; brother: Christopher Blankenship of Ben Creek; nephews: Gabriel (Kasey) Berry of Kentucky and Jacob Blankenship of Horsepen; uncles: Timmy (Carol) Blankenship of Gilbert Creek, Tommy (Marcella) Blankenship of Gilbert; cousins: Mark (Tina) Blankenship of Baisden, Patrick (Teresa) Cline of Horsepen; friend: John Hatfield of Browning Fork.  He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other dear relatives and friends.

Honoring his wishes, Jamie will be cremated.

A memorial will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 1:00 at the Full Gospel Church of God, Baisden, WV with Pastor Jonas "Joe Peck" Trent and Rev. Ralph Manuel officiating.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
