On Sunday, May 9, 2021 Jamie Joe “Artie” Cline, 53 of Baisden, finally took his walk with Jesus from Pikeville Medical Center.
Born on March 28, 1968 in Logan County, he was the son of the late Jimmie and Alma Cline.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brothers: Timmy and Terry Cline.
Artie loved attending church and listening to his old country and religious music. He enjoyed going to basketball games and watching professional wrestling, especially his favorites, John Cena and The Rock. Artie loved working out in the yard and riding the side by side, which he finally got to drive last summer. He never met a stranger and made everyone around him better.
Those left to love and cherish his memory are his four sisters: Fonda (Michael) Thomason, with whom he had made his home with for 20 plus years, Misty (Leticia Natal) Cline, Anita (Lucky) Blankenship, and Lisa (Tracey) Blankenship; five nephews: Dalton Hatfield, Travis Hatfield, Dwayne Compton, Jeffrey Scott Compton, and Jimmy Eric Cline; three nieces: Adrianne Lester, Timylia Cline and Courtney Angalet Nelson. Jamie also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and many wonderful friends.
Friends may gather with his family Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 6:00 till 9:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with special services at 7:00 pm with Rev. Denny May officiating. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Clifford Rawls officiating. Burial will follow in the Jimmy Cline Cemetery at Big Lick Fork, Baisden, WV.
Artie will be carried to his resting place by pallbearers: Pvt. FC Jeffrey Scott Compton, Dalton Hatfield, Travis Hatfield, Stevie Hammond, Michael Thomason and Matt Browning.
His wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him.
