In the early morning of July 9, 2022, Janet Ruth Belcher “66” of Christian, WV departed this life at her home. Those she left behind pray that she is now comforted from the years she faced with her health battles.
Born on July 22, 1955 at Logan, WV she was the daughter of the late Laura Ellen (Morgan) and Laymon Elliot Toler.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband: Jackie “Jack” Elmer Belcher; a very special sister, who she cared for: Helen “Susie” Walls; her brother: Laymon Dale Toler; a special sister-in-law: Patty Toler; special brother-in-law: Velmer Ray Belcher.
Janet had been battling many health concerns, such as colon and lung cancer, and heart issues. Her hobbies included cross stitching and playing games on her phone and computer. She was a member of the Ladies Aid at the Sandlick Freewill Baptist Church, which she attended. Janet was involved in every aspect of her great nieces and nephews’ lives, who seen her as a bonus grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Those left to love and cherish her memory include: Tilly (Donna) Walls of Verner, Phyllis (Johnny) Glandon of Bruno, Ronald Walls of Elk Creek, Juanita Proffit of Bruno, Larry (Lori) Toler of Bruno, Gondy (Rev. Bill) Cantrell of Christian, Dalina (Chris) Blankenship of Bruno, Billy (Lori) Cantrell of Bruno, Daniel (Savanna) Cantrell of Christian, along with Sha, Preston, Kaden, Landon, Noah, McKinley, Luke, and Braxton, who she looked at as her grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 after 6:00 pm at the Sandlick Freewill Baptist Church, funeral services will commence there at the church on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 12:00 pm with Rev. Bill Cantrell and Rev. Daniel Cantrell officiating. Instrumental music will be provided by Billy Cantrell, II. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Pecks Mill, Logan, WV.
Janet will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.
Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
