Jerry Justin New

Jerry Justin New, 31 of Baisden, WV departed this life Saturday, June 13, 2026, at CAMC Geneal Division, Charleston, WV.

Born June 11, 1995, at Logan, WV he was the son of John New and Michelle Denise Lester.

Jerry is preceded in death by his grandfather: Dewey Carol New; grandmother: Eva Robinette; his cousin, who was like a brother: Randy McCoy.

He had worked as a logger for several years.   He enjoyed hunting, fishing, logging, riding his four-wheeler, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his baby girl Lacey.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his mother: Michelle (Jessie Branhan) Lester of Panther, WV; his father: John New of Baisden, WV; daughter: Lacey New of Gilbert, WV; former wife: Kansas New Strickland of Gilbert, WV; sisters: Kisha (Shawn) Fyffe of Williamson, WV and Alyssa (James Smith) Lester of Browning Fork; grandmother: Sharon New; grandparents-in-law: Oliver and Clairene Bailey of Gilbert, WV; aunt: Kimberly Blevins of Huntington, WV; his cousin, who was more like a brother: Stephen Joe New of Baisden, WV.  He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 6:00 till 9:00 p.m. in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home where funeral services will commence at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Ralphy Manuel officiating.

In honoring his request, he will be cremated following services.

His wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him.
