Jerry Ward

Jerry Ward, 67 of Wharncliffe, WV departed this life Friday, March 21, 2025, from Logan Regional Medical Center.  Born June 9, 1957, in Welch, WV he was the son of the late Clarence Eugene and Virginia Mable (Hatfield) Ward.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a stillborn brother; sisters: Karen Sue Ward and Linda Wilson; sister-in-law: Tammy Lynn Ward; brother-in-law: Ward Lee Mitchell; nieces: Angela Mitchell and Kristi Lynn Ward.

Jerry enjoyed being outdoors, he liked to fish, hunt, ride his side by side, and spend quality time with his family and friends.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his sisters: Rita Mitchell and Sharon (Danny George) Browning, all of Ben Creek; brothers: Kenneth Ray (Shawnee) Ward of Varney, WV, Terry (Rhonda) Ward of Hampden, WV, James Freddie (Lori) Ward and Douglas Eugene Ward, all of Ben Creek, WV.  He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held Monday, March 24, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Ward Family Cemetery at Wharncliffe, WV with Rev. Danny Ward officiating.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
