Jimmy Rex Cline, 79 of Baisden, WV departed this life Thursday, April 2, 2026, at his residence.
Born November 14, 1946, in Mingo County, WV he was the son of the late Nat and Bonnie (Carter) Cline.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years: Betty Jo (Toler) Cline; sisters: Vima Blankenship, Zella (Treed) Lockhart, Molly (Joe) Lester, Retha (John) Blankenship; brothers: Sonny (Phyllis) Cline, Fleming Cline, Judd (Desi Mae) Cline.
Jimmy was a 30-year-old UMWA Coal Miner, and a member of the Church of Faith Church, he loved the Lord and his desire was to go to Heaven. He had nicknames for everyone, he was a kind, gentle person, who loved sports, squirrel hunting, his community, and everyone who lived there.
Those left to love and cherish his memory are his daughter: Michelle (Cline) Kirby; his granddaughter: Summer Cohenour, both of Scott Depot, WV; sister: Evelyn (Cline) Hatfield; brothers: Jay (Marian) Cline, Tex (Iris) Cline, Denzil (Tina) Cline. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other dear friends.
Friends may gather with the family Thursday, April 9, 2026, in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home from 12:00 till 1:00 p.m. where funeral services will commence at 1:00 p.m. with Bishop Anthony Hudgins and Pastor Homer Blankenship, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Chapmanville, WV.
Jimmy will be carried to his resting place by his family and friends.
His wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him.
