Joda "Jody" Allen Browning

Joda “Jody” Allen Browning, 58 of Wharncliffe, departed this life Thursday, February 17, 2022 from Matewan, WV.

Born on May 23, 1963 at Iaeger, he was the son of Joda “Bud” and the late Wilma Faye (Paynter) Browning.

In addition to his mother, he is also preceded in death by his wife: Eva Jeanette “Sissy” Browning; brother: Buddy Wayne Browning; sister-in-law: Sherri (Trent) Browning; niece: Chyna Ellis.

Jody enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his 4-wheeler, treasure hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.  He was of the Christian Faith.

Those left to love and cherish his memory and to mourn his loss are his son: Bradley (Emma) Browning of Gilbert; his daughter: Jodi Renae Runyon of Pie; grandchildren: Aiden and Hayden Browning, Cheyann Browning, Austin and Daryonna Runyon, all of Gilbert; father: Joda Bud Browning of Louisa, KY; sister: Angie (Dickie Doo) Canterbury of Lincoln County; brothers: Darin (Angie) Browning of Wharncliffe, Kevin Dockstader, and Ronnie “Slick” Rasnick, both of Princeton; niece: Amber (Jake) Justice of Louisa, KY.  He also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Friday, February 25, 2022 from 12:00 till 1:00 pm in the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jonas Trent officiating.

To honor his request, he was cremated.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
