Joe Claude Morgan

Joe Claude Morgan, 90 of Steeles, WV departed this life Sunday, May 4, 2025, from his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born September 9, 1934, at North Springs, WV he was the son of the late Claude Homer and Dorothy (Thornsbury) Morgan.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister: Charlotte Morgan; his brothers: Dennis and Eddie Morgan; sister-in-law: Faye Morgan.

Joe was a member of the U.M.W.A.  He enjoyed gardening, doing yard work, fiddling around outdoors, and working on puzzle books.  He attended the Justice Tabernacle Church until his failing health prevented him from going.  He is the last surviving member of his family.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his loving wife of 69 years: Geraldine (Cline) “Dena” Morgan; son: Bobby Joe Morgan both of the home; daughters: Evangelist Rhonda Keith and husband Deacon James Keith of Gary, WV, Dottie and husband Charles Ray Roberts of Ikes Fork, WV; grandchildren: Anthony Ray (Renea) Toler, Jason (Megan) Roberts, Bobby Joe (Kenzie) Morgan, Jr., David,, Joe, and Renee Keith, Shanise Fields; great grandchildren: Logan, Kalynn, Kade, and Kenna Roberts, Laken Toler and arriving soon Sophia Shaye Morgan, Jayson, Alyssa, Amiya and Keliana Keith, Jazmyne Brown, Aaron, Makalia, Keon, and Deon Gray, Timothy, Miykei, and Aleia Fields; sister-in-law: Rita Morgan.  He also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 12:00pm till 1:00pm in the Chapel of Mounts Funeral Home where funeral services will commence at 1:00pm with Pastor Ravin Kenneda and Rev. Louie Vanover officiating.  Burial will follow in the Morgan-Evans Cemetery at Steeles, WV.

Joe will be carried to his resting place by his family and friends.

His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved and knew him.
