John Keith Ward

John Keith Ward, 61, of Wharncliffe, WV departed this life Sunday, August 31, 2025, from Tug Valley ARH, South Williamson, KY.

Born January 19, 1964, at Iaeger, WV, he was the son of the late Daniel and Minnette (Banfield) Ward.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Don Ward; grandparents: Roby and Callie Ward, and James and Gwendolyn Banfield.

John loved being outdoors, he enjoyed digging ginseng, fishing, and hunting.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his brothers: Pastor Danny (Charlotte) Ward, Jimmy Ward, Matthew (Sherrie) Ward, all of Wharncliffe, WV, and Greg (Candise) Ward of Chapmanville, WV; his 2 dogs; Rocky and Sam.  He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Friday, September 5, 2025, from 12 till 1:00 pm in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home where funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm with Pastor Denny May officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cisco Cemetery at Wharncliffe, WV.

John will be carried to his resting place by his family and friends.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
