Jonathan Lee Ferrell, 57 of Verner, departed this life Sunday, February 21, 2021 from Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA.
Born on May 6, 1963 in Daytona, FL., he was the son of the late James Daniel (J.D) and Linda Lea (Ganta) Ferrell, Sr.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother: James (Jimmy) Ferrell, Jr; mother-in-law: Joann (Brooks) Browning; nephew: Aaron Mathers Ferrell.
Jonathan was the owner/operator of his company LSI Trucking. He was a devoted father to his sons and a devoted husband to his wife of 23 years, Chrissy (Browning) Ferrell. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Those left to love and cherish his memory and to mourn his loss are his wife: Ronnitta (Chrissy) Ferrell; his sons: Jonathan Blake and Tyler Brayden, all of Verner; his brother: Joseph (Bonnie) Ferrell of Ocala, FL; his sister: Louanne Ferrell (Lisa Haulmark) of Roanoke, VA; sister-in-law: LaRae Ferrell of Gilbert Creek; father-in-law: Ronnie Browning; brother-in-law: Darren (Connie) Browning, all of Verner; nieces and nephews: Justin (Karli) Browning of Morgantown, Chelsea (Scott) Mounts of Verner, D.J (Vicky) Ferrell, III., of Man, Laura Ferrell (Mickey Rogers) of Gilbert, Joseph Ferrell, Jr., and David James (Audrey) Ferrell, all of Ocala, FL, Kipton, Konor Mounts, Ellie Mae Browning, Alijah Ferrell, Aaron Rogers, Ian Ferrell. Jonathan also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Sunday, February 28, 2021 from 1:00 till 2:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Rev. Diamond Carter and Rev. Walter Grimmett officiating.
Pallbearers are Marty Fortner, Dakota Mitchell, Alton Jones, Bobby Laws, James and Hunter Nickles, Tyler May. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Gilkerson, James Plumley, Harry Kilgore, Winston Perry, Tim Coy, Jerry Dale Grimmett, Petey (Pete) Hatfield, Jeff, and Bruce Ferrell.
To honor his wishes, Jonathan will be cremated following his services. He will be buried in the Ferrell Family Resting Place, Cowen, WV.
There will be a truck convoy following services in his honor, with his buddies, co-workers, and friends participating.
His wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved him.
