Joshua Wayne Duty

Joshua Wayne Duty, 34 of Oceana, WV departed this life on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from his residence.

Born on October 2, 1986 in Logan, WV he was the son of Judy (Hatfield) Cantrell and the late Frenchie Duty.

In addition to his father, Josh is also preceded in death by his brother: Frenchie Scott Ball.

Josh loved working in his vegetable and flower gardens.  He was a 2005 graduate of Gilbert High School.  He was of the Baptist Faith.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his wife: Amanda Duty; his daughters: Keeley and Layla Duty, all of Oceana, WV; his mother: Judy (Hatfield) and step father Larry Cantrell of Ulysses, KY; his brother: Frenchie Brian Duty of Indore, WV; his sister: Tonya (Woodrow) Marcum of Chapmanville, WV; stepmother: Darlene (Cooke) Duty of Oceana, WV; stepbrothers: Adam Cantrell of West Liberty, KY, and Kevin Cooke of Logan, WV; stepsisters: Dawn (Sam) Allen of Oceana, WV, and Sandra (DJ) Shorter of TN.  Josh also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers in law, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Monday, August 30, 2021 from 1:00 till 2:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Rev. Diamond Carter officiating.

To honor his request, his remains will be cremated following services.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
