Joyce (Justice) Browning

Joyce Browning, 73, of Wharncliffe went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2020 from her residence.  Born June 25, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Marie and Drew Justice.  In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her daughter Melissa Davis, her sister Christine Blankenship, and her four brothers Benny Justice, James Justice, Kennis Justice, and Freddie Justice. 

Joyce was a member of the Justice Church of God where she loved to sing for the Lord.  She enjoyed cooking, Christmas, and frequent trips to the beach.  Most of all, she loved her many grandchildren and spending time with them.  

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Barry Browning; her daughter Vanessa (Rick) Gunnoe of Saint Albans; stepsons Barry Browning Jr. and Benji Browning both of Wharncliffe; stepdaughters Fran (Brian) Pigg of Fredricktown, MO and Lenna (Chet) Mudd of Charleston; her grandsons: Andrew (Annie) Thomas of Hurricane, Cameron (Tori) Browning, Colton Browning, and Gage Browning all of Wharncliffe, and Nicholas and Tyler Bollinger; granddaughters: Alyssa Gunnoe of Morgantown, Jessica Thom of Greenville, SC, Tiffany Toler of Johnson City, TN, Alyssa Toler of Abington, VA, Autumn Browning, Allie Browning, and Emily Browning all of Wharncliffe; four great grandchildren: Ava, Zaine, Lorelai, and Braylene; her sisters: Darlene (Mike) Toler of Huntington, Sereta (Randy) Harvey and Karen (Michael) Hall, all of Justice; and her very special church family. 

Friends may gather with the Browning Family Sunday, July 26, 2020 from 6pm – 9pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel for Visitation.  Funeral services will commence Monday July 27, 2020 at 12pm with the Rev. Bill Cresong officiating.   Burial will follow in the Browning family cemetery at Wharncliffe.

Joyce will be carried to her final resting place by her grandchildren.
