Joyce Mae (Mounts) Ferguson

Joyce Mae Ferguson, 54, of Gilbert, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 14, 2020 at CAMC Memorial Hospital.

Born on January 7, 1966 at Williamson, she was the daughter of the late Linda and Rayburn Mounts, Sr.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother: Michael Mounts.

Joyce was a loving wife to Johnny Ferguson of Gilbert.  She loved to sing and go to church.  Joyce also loved to call her best friends: Lisa Hatfield and Fredia Carter.  She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Wharncliffe.  She had a host of friends that she had from Rev. Denny May's church and Rev. Diamond Carter's church.  She was loved by everyone.

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her loving husband of 17 years: Johnny Ferguson of Gilbert; sisters: Sherry (Larry) Cisco of Beech Creek, Bessie (Kenneth) Blevins and Barbara (Matthew) Stanley, all of Wharncliffe; brothers: Richard (Tina) Mounts of Pigeon Creek and Rayburn (Angie) Mounts, Jr of Red Jacket.  She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 6 to 9 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel with special service at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will commence at the chapel on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Denny May, Rev. Danny Ward and Rev. Diamond Carter officiating.  Burial will follow in the Bud Trent Cemetery at Hampden, WV.

Joyce will be carried to her resting place by Donald Belcher, Craig Patrick, Jacob Trent, Keith Hatfield, Jason Runyon and Bruce Ferrell.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
