Juna Simpson, 81, of Scottsville, KY and formerly of Hanover, West Virginia passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at her residence. The Iaeger, West Virginia native was a homemaker and Pentecostal. She was a daughter of the late John Virgil Belcher and Minerva Mullins Belcher Howard and wife of the late Robert Simpson, Jr.
She is survived by 2 sons: Bro. Mark Townsend and wife, Pam, Scottsville, KY and Robert Simpson, III and wife, Amy, Fountain Run, KY;
1 daughter: Rhonda Trent and husband, Jimmy, Scottsville, KY;
9 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren and
Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a great grandson: Dakota Chase Cline; 3 brothers: James Matney, Dallas Belcher and Hassell Belcher; 6 sisters: Goldie Whitt, Molly Runyon, Leona Prater, Edith Johnson, Joy Presley and Nina Layne.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Al Buckta officiating and burial at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Caney Fork Cemetery in Etoile, KY. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday at Goad Funeral Home.
