Kathleen (Cline) Trent

Kathleen (Cline) Trent, 84 of Wharncliffe, WV, departed this life Thursday, September 21, 2023 from her residence.

Born on November 20, 1938 at Wharncliffe, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Carrie (Trent) Cline.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her loving husband: Lee James Trent; sister: Juanita Coleman; brothers: Ance, Edgar, and Willie Jean Cline.

Kathleen loved cooking, especially for family dinners and get togethers.  She also enjoyed planting, and taking care of her garden, also, spending time with her family and friends.  Kathlen was a member of the Full Gospel Church of God of Baisden, WV.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her children: Alfred Gerald (Regina) Cline, Doris (Carl) Brewer, all of Wharncliffe, WV., Genive Cline (Joey Lester) of Ikes Fork, WV., Janet (Roger) Blum of Dellrose, TN., Vernard “Pig” (Charlene) Trent of Wharncliffe, WV; grandchildren: Melissa (Brandon) Cline of Beckley, WV., Carl (Angel) Brewer of Roderfield, WV., Tiffany Brewer (Jeremy Morrison), Natasha (Burton) New, all of Wharncliffe, WV., Michelle (Jason) Thomas of Frostburg, MD., Courtney Blum of Coco Beach, FL., Montana Blum (Austin Smith) of Ardmore, AL., Bonnie (Bo) Ferrell of Gilbert, WV; 13 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; siblings: Liza (Argus) Trent, Erma (Jonas) Trent, Dorene Gilman, Mary Cline (Bill) Hooper, Rush (Hope) Cline; special friend and caregiver: Davina Baisden.  She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other dear family and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Monday, September 25, 2023 from 6:00 till 9:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will commence there at the chapel on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jonas Trent and Rev. Ralphy Manuel officiating.  Burial will follow in the Springfork Cemetery at Wharncliffe, WV.

Kathleen will be carried to her resting place by pallbearers: Austin Smith, Jason Thomas, JD Brewer, Brandon Cline, Brayden Brewer, Vernard “Pig” Trent, Carl Brewer, Jr.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
