Kathleen Lorraine (Colangelo) Wolford

Kathleen Lorraine Wolford, 69 of Wharncliffe departed this life on Thursday, November 3, 2022 from Charleston, WV.

Born on August 10, 1953 in Mingo County, she was the daughter of the late Johnny and Sarah (Colangelo) Gilbert.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her daughter: Wanda Sue (Ellis) Hurley; son: Johnny Gilbert Ellis; granddaughter: Robin Nicole Stanley; grandson: Carl Henry Wolford, Jr; sister: Barb Boldin; brothers: Michael Joe and Hugh Colangelo, and Dennis Doss.

Kathleen loved to ride horses and watch the Hallmark Channel.  She absolutely loved her grandbabies, and nothing made her happier than cooking a big meal for her family to enjoy.  Kathleen was just an easy-to-please type of person who simply enjoyed life.  She was of the Pentecostal Faith.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her sons: Kevin Wayne Ellis, Jerry Lee (Carol) Ellis; grandsons: Nicholas Hurley, Lee (Kayla) Ellis; her grandbabies: Bryson & Kayson Ellis & Shayla Stanley all of Wharncliffe; sisters: Elaine Gibson of N.C., Brenda Cline of Wharncliffe, Sharon Doss of Cincinnati.  She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Monday, November 7, 2022, from 6:00 till 9:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Rick Endicott officiating.  Burial will follow in the Colangelo Cemetery at Wharncliffe, WV.

Kathleen will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
