Kathryn (Mock) Endicott

Kathryn (Mock) Endicott, 73 of Hanover, WV departed this life Wednesday, November 8, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Born March 12, 1950 in Columbia, SC she was the daughter of the late Henry and Anna Mae (Peake) Mock.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her sisters: Sherry Shannon and Diane Nichol; brothers: Robin Mock and Michael Mock; her in laws: Clinton “Chicken” and Irene Endicott.

Kathryn was a nurse, she had worked several years for Dr. Rallos, and she also worked at the Community Health Foundation at Man, WV for several years.  She was a very compassionate, selfless person, who was always caring for others.  Kathryn enjoyed gardening, sewing, and spending quality time with her grandchildren.  She was a member of the Hanover Missionary Baptist Church.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her loving husband of 55 years: Melvin “Butch” Endicott of Hanover, WV; her daughters: Tammy (Endicott) Blankenship of Justice, WV, and Scarlett (Jake) Tolley of Peachland, NC; grandchildren: Alyssa and Hunter Blankenship of Justice, WV and Georgia Tolley of Peachland, NC; her step grandchildren: Leah Lawrence of Hanover, WV and Dustin Blankenship of Varney, WV.  Kathryn leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 6:00 till 8:00 pm in the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, Gilbert, WV.   Funeral services will commence there in the chapel on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jackie Lester officiating.  Burial will follow in the Wilson Family Cemetery at Justice, WV.

Kathryn will be carried to her resting place by pallbearers: Jody and Trampas Shannon, Shaye Justice, Jason Tolley, Hunter, and Gary Wayne Blankenship.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
