Katie Lyall, 75 of Baisden, departed this life Monday, November 7, 2022 from St. Francis Specialty Hospital, Charleston, WV.
Born on April 22, 1947 at Superior, WV, she was the daughter of the late Gene and Lillie (Lowe) Peaks.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded by her brother: Dorsie Peak.
Katie enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends, she loved making others happy. She attended the First Missionary Baptist Church of Justice, WV.
Those left to love and cherish her memory are her husband: Jerry Lyall of Baisden; sons: David Brian (Phi Phi) Bailey, grandchildren: Steven and Savanna Nguyen, all of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Edward Thomas (Jamie Lynette) Bailey, grandchildren: Hunter Thomas Bailey, Hope Deanne Bailey, Hailey Albertson, Hayden Fogarty, all of Georgia; stepson: Kevin (Allison Lester) Lyall of Beckley; step grandson: Zachary Lyall of Morgantown; step son: Michael (Annabelle) Lyall of Mooresville, N.C; step grandson: Brady Lyall of Nacogdoches, TX; stepdaughter: Kimberly (Ashley) Davis of Pulaski, VA; step grandsons: Tyler Block of Florida and Ryan Block of Pulaski, VA; step daughter: Kera Smith; step granddaughters: Madison Ash, Morgan Kraft, McKenna Smith, all of Texas; 7 great grandchildren; brothers: Bobby and Kenny Peaks. She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 6:00 till 9:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral services will commence on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 11:00 am with Rev. Jim Nagy and Rev. Timer May officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bluefield, WV.
Katie will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.
Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
