Kelly Renae Lampton

Kelly Renea Lampton, age 46, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (January 17, 2024) in Louisville, KY.

She was born on April 16, 1977 in Logan, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Daphene Walker Browning and her father, Tim Hatfield.

She worked in finance for many years, working at World Finance and Lendmark Financial Services. Kelly loved to travel and take cruises. She loved her fur babies and being with her family. She loved to sing and had sung in the Walker Sisters Gospel Group. She married her husband, Eddie Lampton on December 15, 2006. She attended Restoration Place Ministries in Leitchfield.

She is survived by her husband, Eddie Lampton; her father and step-mother, Tim and Joyce  Hatfield; sister, Brittany Walker of West Virginia; brother, Brian Hatfield of Virginia; step-brother, Brad Browning (Jacinda); nephew, Ethan; aunts, Claudette VanNatter (Michael), Angie Whitt (Dwayne) and Darlene Davis; sister-in-law Brenda Sturgeon; best friend, Bonnie Pierce; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Daphene Walker Browning; step-father, Douglas Browning; uncle Timmy Davis; aunt, Diana Caldwell; her grandparents, Earnestine and Willie Walker, who raised her; and brother-in-law, Gordon Sturgeon.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, (January 25, 2024) at the Restoration Place Ministries, 115 Sequoia Drive in Leitchfield.  Pastor Andy Vance will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Freedom Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday and at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time to leave for the church services.
