Kimberly Dawn Smith, 47 of Davin, WV gained her heavenly wings on Monday, October 6, 2025, from CAMC General, Charleston, WV.
Born September 15, 1978, at Logan, WV she was the loving daughter of Vanessa (Cline) and the late “Corky” Rasnick.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her father-in-law: Jack Smith; paternal grandparents: George and Betty Rasnick; maternal grandparents: Kennis and Gertrude Cline; and grandmother-in-law: Martha Smith.
Kim was a loving and giving person, she loved reading, thrifting, taking pictures of nature, and going to the beach. She dearly loved her fur babies, her “Tenderoni”, and her nephews. She will be greatly missed by her J&J Sales family and customers. Kim will be irreplaceable.
Those left to love and cherish her memory are her husband: Kelly Jack Smith of Davin, WV; her mother: Judy Vanessa Rasnick of Justice, WV; her sister: Kelly (Jeremy) Steele of Logan, WV; mother-in-law: Phyllis Smith; brother-in-law: Josh (Kayla) Smith; four nephews: Zachary and Aidan Steele, and Jaxon and Jase Smith; her fur babies: Dean Winchester and Pippa the Mutt. She also leaves behind a host of other relatives, friends and acquaintances who she loved dearly.
Friends may gather with the family on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 6:00 till 9:00 pm in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home with special services at 7:00 pm with Rev. Homer Blankenship, Jr. officiating.
Kim’s final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ, tissue, and cornea donation. Her gift will give the gift of life to eight other families. Kim gave her gift on the anniversary of her father, Corky’s, receipt of donor lungs from another donor, which gave Kim and her family years of additional time and love with her own father.
