Larry Yates

Larry Yates, 65, of Hendersonville, NC formerly of Baisden, WV, departed this life Saturday, August 15, 2020 from his residence.

Born September 22, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the late William and Addie Yates.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother: George Yates.

Larry was a retired coal miner, a volunteer firefighter and EMT for the Gilbert Volunteer Fire Department.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his wife: Elaine Yates; son: Keith (Brittany) Yates; grandchildren: Zack Yates, Elizabeth Yates and Scalett Thomason; sister: Diane (Bart) Vinsh; brother: Terry Yates.  He also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Sunday, August 23, 2020 from 5:00 till 8:00 pm at the Gilbert Volunteer Fire Department for a Memorial service with the Rev. Charles Timer May and Bro. Mike Tolley officiating.

To honor his wishes, Larry was cremated.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
