Leonard Ray Workman

Leonard Ray Workman, 63 of Gilbert, departed this life on December 23, 2021 from his residence.

Born on January 12, 1958 in Detroit Michigan, he was the son of the late Grover Cleveland and Eva Garnet (Kennedy) Workman.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Janine Ann (Noyse) Workman, one sister: Sharon Rose (Workman) Weaver, three brothers: Keith Edward. Jeffrey Randall, and Jerry Bruce Workman.

Leonard was a kind man who loved his dog Tigger dearly.  He loved spending time with his family, watching football and other sports, especially the Pistons, Redwings, Tigers, and University of Michigan Football.  His sense of humor was unique, and he loved sharing it with his close family and friends. 

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his daughter: Cindy Workman of Gilbert, WV; brothers: Richard Workman of Washington Courthouse, OH and Robert Workman of Moore, OK; 4 step-daughters whom he helped raise and loved as his own: Patricia LaFraniere of Howell MI, Carol Aggurie, Crystal Wauscheck, and Elizabeth Wausheck all of Redford, MI; three step-sons: Michael Wausheck, Steven Wausheck, and Richard Wausheck all of Redford, MI; four step-sisters: Ann (Rabon) Dotson of Strawberry Plains, TN, Barbara (Bob) Sienkiewicz of Michigan, Kathy (Shawn) Ford of Ohio, and Kay Potter of Indiana; two step-brothers: Bernie and Timothy Neece both of Michigan; and his Best Friend: Mark (Dawn) LaFraniere of Redford, MI; he also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. 

Friends may gather with the family Thursday December 30, 2021 at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel from 6 – 7 PM for visitation.  Funeral services will commence at 7 PM Thursday with the Rev. Earnest Neece officiating.  In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow the services.
