Lila Nell (Perry) Ellis gained her seat at the throne of the Heavenly Father at 12:45 am on Christmas Day, December 25, 2022 after some time in the hospital with a broken hip.
Lila was born on September 10, 1934 to the late Warren and Etta (Lester) Perry at Justice, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her children's father, Joe Ellis, and sister and brothers Essie Perry Lambert, James Perry, and Larry Perry.
She was a wonderful. mother, grandmother, sister, and matriarch of her family for many years. She was a pillar of strength to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was loved by all who knew her, family, and friends alike.
She is survived by her children: Madonna Young of Farrar, Texas, Kathy Goza and Darrell of Mansfield, Louisiana, Wayne Ellis and Donna of Gilbert, W.Va. and her youngest son Joey Ellis and Cindy of Hanover, W. Va. where she has resided for the last several years. She was also close to her children's siblings Jody Ellis, and Travis Ellis who thought highly of her. In addition, she is survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren. There are still 7 of her brothers and sisters living today including Jerry Perry, Mason Perry and wife Brenda, Judy Perry Watts, Erma Perry, Flora Perry Berry and Michael, Diana Perry Williams and Kenneth and baby brother Sidney Perry and one very dear sister-in-law, Dimple Kay Voight. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other dear relatives and friends.
Her wishes were to be cremated and will be honored.
