Linda (Huff) Blankenship

Linda (Huff) Blankenship, 68 of North Spring, departed this life Sunday, October 6, 2019 from her residence.

Born May 3, 1951 at Iaeger, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Roxie (Cline) Huff.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband: Clark Gable Blankenship; son: Ernest Blankenship; granddaughter: Georgie Blankenship.

Linda enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, shopping and spending time with her family and friends.  Linda especially loved caring and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  She was a 1970 graduate of Baileysville High School.  Linda was of the Baptist Faith.

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her son: Clark “Mack” (Kim) Blankenship; daughter: Roxanna Sloan, all of North Spring; grandchildren: Danielle ( Timmy) Ratliff of Welch, Ben Hall of North Spring, Chris New of Pigeon Creek, Jeremy Johnson of Wharncliffe, Joshua, Matthew and Julie Blankenship of the home; 6 great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren: Kayla (Billy) Ellis of Wharncliffe, Brendan Hunt of Long Branch, Bryan Hunt of Slabtown, Angel Hammond of Gilbert Creek; 7 step-great-grandchildren; brothers: Ben (Doris) Huff of North Spring and Joseph (Cathy) Huff of Stewart, Florida.  She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 6 to 9 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel where funeral services will commence on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Diamond Carter and Rev. Roger Endicott officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cline Cemetery at North Spring.

Linda will be carried to her final resting place by Pallbearers: Brendan and Bryan Hunt, Timmy Ratliff, Joey Stanley, Billy Ellis, Dillion Cantrell and Roy Carter.   

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
