Linda Sue (Hatfield) Lee

Linda Sue (Hatfield) Lee, 62 of Coal Mountain, WV departed this life Sunday, August 2, 2020 from Raleigh General Hospital.

Born on August 29, 1957 at Ieager, she was the daughter of Adele (Woolum) Hatfield and the late Jackie Lee “Jack” Hatfield.

In addition to her father, Linda is also preceded in death by her sisters: Deborah Lynn and Kathy Denise Hatfield.

Linda was a graduate of Baileysville High School Class of 1975.  She was a teacher for the Mingo County BOE and she had also taught school at Wyoming East, she was a member of the Big Cub Missionary Baptist Church of Coal Mountain.  Linda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her mother.

Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her mother: Adele Hatfield of Coal Mountain; aunts: Irene Cook, Dorsal Duty, Sylvia (John) Smith, Mildred Taylor, Glenna Hatfield, Patsy Woolum; uncles: Arden and Ronald Hatfield, Johnny Woolum; special friends: Vince and Dalton Walls.  Linda also leaves behind a host of cousins and other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Thursday, August 6, 2020 from 12:00 till 2:00 pm at the Big Cub Missionary Baptist Church at Coal Mountain, where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Rev. Glenn Hatfield, and Rev. James Ellis officiating.  Burial will follow in the Coal Mountain Community Cemetery at Coal Mountain.

Linda will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
