Linda (Trent) Simpson

Linda Simpson, 75, of Beach Park, IL. passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Vista East Hospital in Waukegan, IL.

She was born August 20, 1947 to the late Forrest and Alice Trent in Glen Alum, WV. Linda married Harry Simpson on July 3, 1965.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband Harry, her parents, her sister Bobbie Trent, her sister Betty Surber, and half-sister Panky Kelton.

She is survived by her daughter Pamela (Kevin) Coughlin, beloved grandsons Jake and Jason, sister Edith Elmore of VA, and nephew Forrest Trent of WV.

Harry and Linda moved to Chicago, IL in 1965. Linda worked for Harry's small trucking company since its start as the company bookkeeper. They ran their successful business together for over 25 years.

Linda enjoyed spending time with her husband on his boat, and they'd spend their (early) morning out on the lake, fishing with their daughter. Her grandsons meant the world to her, and she was very proud of them both. Linda was a loving wife, mother, and great friend to many. Her closest friend was Bonnie Creamer, who she enjoyed many laughs and much fun with over the years.

Linda will be deeply missed by her family and friends and by all who knew her.
