Lovell "Pedlo" Poe

Lovell “Pedlo” Poe, 58 of Gilbert departed this life Monday, September 14, 2020 from Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born January 10, 1962 at Man, he was the son of the late Hattie Poe Blankenship.

In addition to his mother, he is also preceded in death by his sisters: Abby Dawn Poe and Harriett Jean Wiley; brothers: Eddie Ray Poe and Jimmy Dale Poe, Sr; nephew: Jimmy Dale (Chance) Poe, II.

“Pedlo” loved fishing, hunting, spending time with his family and friends, he also enjoyed doing mechanical work.  He attended the Justice Church of God.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his sisters: Melissa Poe of Gilbert, Alesha (Stanley) Cook of Hanover; brothers: William Charles (Joe) Poe and Randy “Scrappy” Poe, both of Gilbert and Larry “Skeebo” Poe of Texas.  He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 1:00 till 2:00 pm at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bill Cresong and Rev. Diamond Carter officiating.

Burial will follow in the Sycamore Hill Cemetery, Stafford Branch section of Gilbert, WV.

“Pedlo” will be carried to his resting place by Freddie Grimmett, Pete Highlander, Danny May, Charles Lester, Joe Poe, Scrappy Poe.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
