Mable Marie (Lefler) Jude

Mable Marie Jude, 75 of Hanover, WV departed this life Monday, January 5, 2026, from her residence. 
 
Born March 26, 1950, in Iaeger, WV, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Anna Mae (Lockhart) Lefler.  
 
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dexter Jude Sr.; grandparents: William and Ethel Lockhart, and Quannah Lefler; brothers: Bill “Ted” Lefler and Mike Lefler; infant sister: Margaret Ann Lefler; mother and father-in-law: Minta (Simpson) and John Jude, Sr.; brothers-in-law: Rex (Helen) Jude, Jack (Norma) Jude, Roy (Billie) Jude, Sonny Jude, and John (Lexie) Jude; sisters-in-law: Judy, Delana, Shirley, and Beulah; and special aunt: Nina Mable King.  
 
Mable was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed looking out the window at her rose bushes and roller skating when she was young, but most of all, Mable loved her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.  
 
Those left to love and cherish her memory are her son: Dexter (Lynn) Jude Jr; daughters: Deborah Ann (Jan Michael) Fortner, Amy Dawn Jude; grandchildren: Joshua (Elizabeth) Jude, Daniel Jude, Michael Fortner, Derek & Jimmy Blair, Jana Fortner (Jay Belcher), Amanda Fortner, Jaela Jude; great-grandchildren: Ben Jude, Chloe Jude; sister: Ethel “Patty” Jude; brothers: Joe (Valerie) Lefler, Chris (Amberly) Lefler; sisters-in-law: Roberta Lefler, Naomi Jude Harrison, Martha (Bo) Adkins; brothers-in-law: Jesse Jude and Denny Jude; special nieces: Stella Perry, Alice Ritchie, Tammy Birchfield, Jeanette Jude, Anna Underwood, mother to grandsons Daniel and Josh; special nephews: Jackie Jude and Sonny Jude Jr. Mable also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.  
 
Friends may gather with the family on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel. Special service starting at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. J.R. Adkins and Pastor Chett Cline officiating.
