Mae Cline, 72 of Baisden, left this world, Thursday, June 18, 2020 at her residence with her family by her side. Today our precious mother went to be with Jesus, where she will have her healing, peace, and comfort.
Born May 9, 1948 in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin “Bennie” and Virgie (Marcum) Salmons.
In addition to her parents, Mom is also preceded in death by her sisters: Melissa Jackson and Annie Baisden; brothers: Ivory, Walter, Clifton, Robert and Virgil Salmons, John B and Wallace Marcum.
There are angels who walk among us and our precious mother was one that we were blessed to call our mommy. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and neighbor. She loved each one as much as she was loved. Mommy was such a precious soul who touched the lives of so many, all those who knew her, loved her.
Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss is her life partner of 50 years: Franklin Cline, they shared a tremendous love for each other, sharing in life their love, that all the family has grown to respect, expect and adore; their children: Patricia (Allen) Cline, Alicia (Brian) Mowdy, Frankie Lynn Harrison (Lee Justice); children she loved as her own: Matthew Kennedy, Brittany Stacy Cline; grandchildren: Allen James (Brittany) Cline, Jr., Caitlin (Matthew) Kennedy, Frank Sammons, Alyssa Sammons, Justin Harrison, Maci Lynn Justice, Graci Lee Justice; great grandchildren: Adalyn Grace Cline, Jerzee Skye Kennedy, Ryleigh Isabella Cline; sisters: Delcie and Cynda Hodge, Verna Cline, Linda Morgan; brothers: Fleman, Edward, Shermon, Homer, Jessie, Bennie and Pearlie Salmons, Bill Evans, Tommy Lee Cline. She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.
Mommy loved family gatherings, cooking and scheduling holiday get togethers. Going to church with her brothers and sisters in Christ, having visitors who she accepted with open arms. She enjoyed reading the Bible and singing the sweet hymns of the Church and having her husband sing to her while holding her hand. Mom loved being a Christian woman, wife, and grandmother. She lived her life as an open book about her faith, love, parenting, and just everyday life. She got great joy in watching her family on their accomplishments and their endeavors. She was overjoyed at her grandchildren and how their lives were prosperous.
