Mae Ellen (Stiltner) Lester, 73 of Hanover, WV departed this life Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from her residence. Born May 7, 1951, in Grundy, VA she was the daughter of the late George Washington and Easter Lilly (Lester) Stiltner.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband: Douglas Lester; brothers: James Earl, David, Harold Dean, Eddie Joe, and Charlie Mack Stiltner, Sr.
Mae Ellen enjoyed family gatherings and cookouts with her family, she especially loved sitting on the porch and watching her grandchildren, who were the loves of her life, playing in the yard. She attended the Hanover House of Faith when she was able to do so.
Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her passing are her daughter: Marcella (Bud) Adams; son: Ivan (Brandy) Lester; grandchildren: Alexis (Austin) Blankenship, Alyssa Lester, Ivan Lester II, and McKinley Lester; great grandson: Winston Blankenship; sisters: Lois Jean Lester and Arthena Smith; brothers: Ricky and Teddy Lee Stiltner. She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 12:00 till 1:00 pm at the Hanover House of Faith where funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dwayne Walls and Rev. Jarvis Walls officiating. Burial will follow in the Lester Cemetery at Joe Point, Hanover, WV.
Mae Ellen will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.
Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
