Margaret Fay (Lester) Hatfield, 71 of the Spice Creek section of Verner, WV, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, April 2, 2021 from her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 2, 1950 at Leatherwood, she was the loving daughter of the late Auldie and Angie (Browning) Lester.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her son, who is loved and never forgotten: Freddie Paul Hatfield; her 3 infant sisters: Rebecca, Georgia, and Marcella Lester, also Lorrain Azar, Grethal Walls, Alma Belcher and Ethel Bobbitt; brothers: Frank Lester, Buford “Boots” Lester, Buel Preston Lester.
Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She loved taking vacations and spending time with her family to Myrtle Beach and Tennessee, she enjoyed going shopping and visiting amusement parks. She loved yard sales, singing, doing puzzles and especially W.V Football. Margaret always put her children first in everything, she dug ginseng to help contribute to her “Christmas Fund” for her children. She was a member of the Christian Freewill Baptist Church.
Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her loving husband of 50 years: Freddie Hatfield of Spice Creek; daughter: Kimberly (Greg) Cline of Spice Creek; son: Mark (Cammi) Hatfield of Beckley; grandchildren: Angie (Chad) Damron; grandson: Zachary (Chelsea) Hatfield; great grandchildren: Bryson Gregory, Roxie Elizabeth, Honey Brooke, Silas Lee, Brennan and Kreeden. She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 12:00 till 2:00 pm at the Christian Freewill Baptist Church, where funeral services will commence at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mike Johnson and Rev. Jackie Jesse officiating. Burial will follow in the Skyline Cemetery at Justice, WV.
Margaret will be carried to her resting place by pallbearers: Paul Bearer, Chad Roberts, Jeff Lester, Dustin Bobbit, Corey Robinette, Daniel Morgan, Randy Layne, Jr Lester, Greg Lester, and Frank Lester, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are: Romeo Bautista, Cameron Riffe, Kenny Roberts, David Browning, Roger Hatfield, Elias Dameron, Glen Altizer and Bobbie Lester.

Margaret would want everyone to love and forgive each other like God has forgiven us all. Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
