Mark Anthony Glanden

Mark Anthony Glanden, 45 of Gilbert, WV departed this life Sunday, December 29, 2024, from CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV.

Born August 1, 1979, at Man, WV he was the treasured son of Daniel and Lana (Glanden) Buchannon of Baisden, WV.

Mark is preceded in death by his grandparents: Oliver and Corrine Glanden; and aunt: Kathryn Vinson.

Mark was a lover of nature and music; he enjoyed fishing, glamping, four-wheeler riding, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his loving wife: Maryann (Vinson) Glanden; and his special daughter: Hannah LeAnn Glanden both of Baisden, WV; stepson: Noah Jordan of NC; parents: Lana and Daniel Buchannon; brother and “Buddy”: Andrew (Charissa) Buchannon; niece: Elizabeth Cheyenne Buchannon; nephew: Noah Buchannon, all of Baisden, WV.  He also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family Thursday, January 2, 2025, from 12:00 till 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Mounts Funeral Home where funeral services will commence at 1:00 pm with Rev. Ralph Manuel officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oak Log Cemetery at Baisden, WV.

Mark will be carried to his resting place by pallbearers: Noah Jordan, Mike Church, Andrew Buchannon, Caleb Lester, Larry Wolford, and Teddy Morgan.  Honorary pallbearers are Bobby New, Bobby Boucher, Doug Vinson, and L.C. Blankenship.

His loving smile and gentle soul will live forever in the hearts of those who loved him.  He will never be forgotten.
