Mark Anthony Morgan

Mark Anthony Morgan, 62 of Long Branch, Simon, WV departed this life peacefully, to be reunited with his loved ones, on Monday, July 6, 2026, from Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born October 28, 1963, at Iaeger, WV he was the son of the late Raymond Curtis and Hazel (Cline) Morgan.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law: Patricia “Patty” Gay and Rev. Roylee Blankenship; brothers: Timothy Paul and Clyde Earl Morgan; niece: Tonya Morgan; nephew: Larry “Duke” Morgan, Jr.  Also, a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Mark was an avid video game player, who was often on the phone with his son Anthony, playing for hours.  He also enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was able to do so, but his greatest joy was serving God, he was a devout Christian who loved everyone and would do and give to anyone he knew was in need. He will always be remembered for shaking hands or just speaking to someone and saying “God Bless”. 

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his daughter: Whittney Morgan and her companion Jay Bailey and his precious grandson Easton, all of Brenton, WV; his son: Anthony (Tori) Morgan of Huntington, WV; brothers: Michael Morgan of Long Branch and Rev. Larry Morgan and his sister-in-law, Rev. Patty Morgan of Oceana, WV; sisters: Rose Mary Morgan of Long Branch, Sharon and Rev. Garfield Hatfield of Gilbert, WV; the mother of his children: Janice Morgan, her sons, Wes and Tyson, who he loved as his own; sister-in-law: Dora Jane Morgan; a special nephew: Keith Morgan who visited him often and was there till the end with him; friends: Rev. Bobo and Sally Blankenship, who also visited him often.  He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives, friends, and church family that he loved dearly.

Friends may gather with the family on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 6:00 till 9:00 p.m. with special services at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Mounts Funeral Home where funeral services will commence on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Brad Kennedy and Rev. Bo Blankenship officiating.  Burial will follow in the Toler Cemetery at Long Branch, Simon, WV.

Mark will be carried to his resting place by his family and friends.

His wonderful smile, gentle heart and caring spirit will be forever remembered.
