Mary Lou “Mam” Hatfield, 89 of Hanover, WV departed this life to be reunited with her Pap, and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 19, 2019 from her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born February 17, 1930 at Indianola, PA, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Martha Walsh.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Clifford “Pap” Hatfield; her brothers: Jimmy, Jerry, and Larry Walsh; sister: Susie Payne.
Mary Lou “Mam” was a devoted Christian for many years. She loved playing the piano in church and for any occasion that anyone would ask her to play for. She enjoyed gardening, working crossword puzzles and watching her favorite TV shows such as Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. The most important thing in her life was her family and the time she got to spend with them.
Those left to love and cherish the memory of Mary Lou “Mam” and to mourn her passing include her son: Gary Hatfield of Hanover, WV; three daughters: Donna (Greg) Mollenkopf of Trinity, NC, Kim (Robert) Stone of Archdale, NC, and Betsy (Michael) Queen of Hanover, WV; three grandchildren: Brandon (Ashley) Stone of Archdale, NC, Zachary (Sammeley) Queen of Gilbert, WV, Kyle (Harmony) Stone of Archdale, NC; five great grandchildren: Canon, Olive, Hutch & Remi Lou Stone all of Archdale, NC; Baby Queen (Due in August); two brothers: Terry Walsh & Roy Glen Walsh; brother-in-law: Rodney (Janie) Hatfield of Hanover, WV; nephew: Jarrod (Stacy) Hatfield and their children: Hayden & Emma Grace Hatfield of Charleston, WV; the family would like to extend a special thanks to her devoted caregivers: Heather Lester & Misty Hatfield.
Friends may gather with the family on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel from 11:00 – 12:00 pm. Funeral services will commence at 12:00 pm with the Rev. Dewayne Cline officiating.
Burial will follow at Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.
