Mary "Diane" Elizabeth (Altizer) Walker

Mary “Diane’ Elizabeth Walker, 81 of Milton, WV formerly of Bruno, WV departed this life Monday, July 11, 2022 from her residence.

Born on March 21, 1941 she was the daughter of the late Chester and Helen (Browning) Altizer.

She is also preceded in death by her husband of 30 years: Ray Franklin Walker.

Mary loved to fish, and take walks, she loved animals, and would gladly take them all into her home if she could.  She was very family oriented, she loved to visit her neighbors, always taking along with her, her little animal friends.  Mary was known as a great storyteller, who could hold everyone’s attention.  She was of the Baptist Faith.

Those left to love and cherish her memory are her son: Chester “ Chuck” (Charlene) Walker of Bruno, WV; grandchildren: Devona Walker, and Tyler (Brittany) Walker, all of Bruno, WV, and Theron Walker of Wellston, OH; nieces: Melissa Wright of Huntington, WV, Deidra Wiley of Cincinnati, OH, Ginger Wiley of Chicago, Il, Colleen (Joe) Brokamp of Columbus, OH, Heather (Tyler) Silcox of Shelly, OH; nephews: Tony (Melanie) Wiley of Hurricane, WV, Michael (Whitney) Wright of Davin, WV; sisters: Janet Wright of Milton, WV, Paulette (Tom) Wiley of Culloden, WV, and Patty (Larry) Roberts of Shelby, OH.  She also leaves behind a host of great nieces, and nephews, and other dear relatives and friends.

Friends may gather with the family on Saturday, July 16, 2022 after 6:00 at the Bruno Church of God, Bruno, WV.  Funeral services will commence there at the church on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Roger Frye officiating.  Burial will follow in the Browning-Grimmett Cemetery at Bruno, WV.

Mary will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.

Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
