Matthew Lee Adams

Matthew Lee Adams, 44, of Gilbert departed this life on Monday, July 20, 2020 at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV.  He was born February, 25th 1976 in Man, WV and was the son of Rev. John G. and Norma Jean Adams. 

Matthew was a Volunteer Fire Fighter, a Lab Technician, and an avid collector of guns and 1/10 scale diecast classic cars.  He was of the Church of God faith.  Matthew also enjoyed playing and connecting with many other avid Destiny gamers from around the world.  

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents    

Those left to love and cherish the memory of Matthew are: his parents; Rev. John G and Norma Jean Adams of Gilbert; 2 Step Sisters Katie and Cody Adams of Gilbert; 1 Aunt; Margaret Adams Lucas of Tennessee; his Sister and Brother-in-law Linda and Denny Lester of Gilbert, who stood by him throughout his life as family, friends and caretakers. Matthew is also survived by his very dear friend, who was like a brother, Paul Cline of Hanover.

Friends and family are invited to join the Adams family on Friday, July 24th, 2020 at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, Gilbert, WV where a Memorial Service will commence at 6:00 PM, with the Rev. Bill Cresong officiating.  

Per his wishes, Matthew's remains will be cremated.

His loving smile and personality will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
