Melissa Gail Ball. 47, of Browning Fork departed this life Saturday, November 7, 2020 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born on March 27, 1973 at Man, she was the daughter of Alice (Belcher) Hatfield and Arnold Hatfield.
Melissa is preceded in death by her brother: Garfield Dennis Hatfield; grandparents: Jessie and Mary Hatfield, Wayne, and Mona Belcher; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Melissa was a 1991 graduate of Gilbert High School; she was also the Librarian at Town Hall.
Those left to love and cherish her memory and to mourn her loss are her son, who was her world: Dakota Ball of Browning Fork; companion: Cletus Cline of Baisden; mother: Alice Hatfield of Coal Mountain; father: Arnold (Betty) Hatfield of Browning Fork; brother: Arnold Hatfield, Jr and companion Tara Trent of Browning Fork; sisters: Cynthia (Darren) Toler of Coal Mountain and Alice Jean Hatfield and companion Billy Smith of Florida. She also leaves behind a host of other dear relatives and friends.
Friends may gather with the family Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm in the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel, with special service at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will commence at Mounts Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Denny May, Rev. Diamond Carter and Rev. Lowell Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in the Carter Cemetery at Browning Fork.
Melissa will be carried to her resting place by her family and friends.
Her wonderful smile and gentle heart will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have known and loved her.
